Izraelska telewizja Channel 10 podała, że zwolennikami porozumienia z Hamasem są Egipt i Katar.
Według informacji izraelskiej telewizji, Izrael rozważa zgodę na długotrwałe zawieszenie działań wojennych z Hamasem, po tym, jak przez kilka tygodnii taka oferta była odrzucana przez izraelskie władze.
“Przedstawiciele dyplomatyczni poinformowali telewizję, że Izrael zrezygnował z żądania, aby Hamas, grupa terrorystyczna rządząca Strefą Gazy, się zdemilitaryzował i aby Autonomia Palestyńska zastąpiła go w zarządzaniu przybrzeżną enklawą” – podaje “The Times of Israel”.
Propozycja ma silne poparcie władz Egiptu i Kataru, które proponuję również rolę mediacyjną. Porozumienie zakłada złagodzenie blokady Strefy Gazy ze strony Izraela w zamian za “całkowite zaprzestanie ognia rakietowego i kopanie przez grupy terrorystyczne tuneli transgranicznych używanych do przeprowadzania ataków na terytorium Izraela.”
Egipcjanie zapowiedzieli, że byliby gotowi złagodzić ograniczenia na przejściu granicznym w Rafah z Gazą.
